Community Organization Program

Dear Community Leader:

We would like to offer a short program about racial healing for your consideration at one of your meetings this fall. Placer County demographers forecast that an increase of people of many different races will be moving into Placer County in the next few years and we want to be sure they feel welcome.

To support this goal, we are hosting a series of meetings starting in January, 2016, to discuss how we can best understand any racial bias that may still exist and to provide a safe space for people of different races to get to know and to understand each other. The hope is after these meetings, friendships will form and action items will be planned.

This is a community service project of the Baha’i Faith of Placer County. Baha’is believe that for the United States to reach its full potential, we need to end prejudice of all types, and in particular racism. We are not asking for contributions, and religion is not part of the program. We are seeking to find participants for our Conversations on Racial Healing workshop starting next January. The workshops are free and open to all.

For more information about us and our program please  To ask questions and/or to schedule us at your meeting email via our Contact Us Form at the top right side of this page.  We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) public education organization.
